The mission of The American Outlaws is to support the United States National Soccer Teams through a unified and dedicated group of supporters, creating a community locally and nationally to Unite and Strengthen U.S. Soccer fans from all parts of this country.
American Outlaws Houston is dedicated to supporting the United States' National Soccer Teams. We accomplish this goal by hosting watch parties where US Soccer fans from the greater Houston region can come together and cheer on their teams, by subsidizing social activities for members, and by helping members travel to select US Soccer matches.
The chapter was founded in 2008, and incorporated in 2015. It is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit by the IRS and as a non-profit corporation by the State of Texas. We have over six hundred members from across Southeast Texas.
AO Houston is a local chapter of The American Outlaws, a national organization founded in 2007 with a mission to support the United Stations National Soccer Teams through a unified and dedicated group of supporters.
When you follow us on social media, you may notice we use the hashtag #AO5. The number 5 is also featured on a lot of our merchandise.
This is because we were the fifth American Outlaws chapter founded (and the first in Texas)! The only cities to have chapters before us were Lincoln, NE; Kansas City, MO; Raleigh, NC; and Boston, MA. We're proud that Houston was one of the first cities to organize in support of US Soccer, and we hope you'll help us continue this strong tradition.
Our chapter is led by a volunteer board, made up of President Ian Feldman, Vice President Erin Dallas, and Membership Chair Wes Henderson. The board is assisted by the members, who help make watch parties and the pro-USA atmosphere possible.
Being part of the American Outlaws Family means you're a part of some of the loudest, most passionate fans of our US national teams. You are the face of American soccer fandom. It means you are part of something bigger than yourself. And it means you have a responsibility to Act Above.
American Outlaws holds its members and guests at AO events, including matches and watch parties, to an Act Above - Code of Conduct that prohibits discrimination, racism, sexism, homophobia, and disrespect towards others. Learn more at the AO National website.
We host watch parties for all USMNT and USWNT matches, where all US Soccer fans are welcome to come cheer on our teams.
We'll always have space reserved within each bar, but the exact location can vary based on the expected turnout and other events happening at the bar. Check our Facebook events to get details on watch party start times and specific locations in each bar.
Many of our watch parties include a free drawing for door prizes which takes place at halftime. Prizes are provided by AO Houston, as well as Keeper Notes and others during USWNT matches. Be sure to ask someone from chapter leadership for an entry slip.
Watch party events will be created on Facebook as matches are confirmed. That said, for your planning purposes, the anticipated match dates and times for the knockout rounds are as follows:

AO Houston has a private members-only Facebook group. This serves both as a place for Chapter Leadership to make members-only announcements as well as a forum for our members to discuss all things US Soccer related.
To join our private Facebook group, first be sure that you're a current American Outlaws member. Next, go to the group page and request to join. After that, please forward your membership confirmation from AO HQ (either your PayPal receipt or a current AO National Member Newsletter) to aohoustontx@gmail.com. Once we receive confirmation of your membership, we'll approve your request to join the group.
